Tatort: Rache-Engel (Scene of the Crime: Avenging Angel)
Vera Schneider, well-known chairperson of a charitable foundation, formerly a celebrated pianist, is honoured for her commitment to the resocialisation of young prisoners. A few hours later the charity lady is found dead - after falling from her balcony. The forensic evidence left by the perpetrator in the apartment points to robbery with murder. The team around Max Palu has to deal with five suspects: Heinz Schneider, boss of Schneider Machine-Tools, a cold-blooded character who wanted to get rid of his wife because she stood in the way of his newly-arranged private life. Martin, the lost son, who has recently reappeared on the scene. Marion, their adopted daughter, seriously traumatised since a car accident. Eva-Maria Klein, Vera Schneider's office manager in the foundation, who has left her traces in many suspicious places. And the only slightly resocialised petty criminal Moshi, one of Vera's protégés and an old friend of Martin's.
Max Palu finds himself under pressure - for his new Superintendent Klausmann is demanding a swift solution. Particularly since the latter wants no suspicion cast on Heinz Schneider as 1,000 jobs depend on his investments. This becomes increasingly difficult since someone, who knows more than the investigators, keeps leaking details to the media.

Tatort: Zielscheibe (Scene of the Crime: Target)

Lexx – The Dark Zone: Giga Shadow
The original Lexx saga comes to an epic close as the fractious foursome (if you count churlish robot head 790) returns to the Shadow-ruled Cluster in a last-ditch effort to obtain the proto-blood that keeps the undead Kai animated. To their surprise they find a dead universe: every human has been sacrificed to His Shadow's rebirth as the Giga-Shadow, except a clerical conspiracy has put an end to that... maybe. With the help of a dead body (guest star Malcolm McDowell, who spends much of the film as a disembodied face) reanimated with a splatter of proto-blood, the rebirth is back on schedule and only the dying Kai, the desperate Zev, and a Cluster Lizard pup named Squish stand in its way. Meanwhile Stanley plots an elaborate and rather ingenious revenge on a pair of perverted mercenaries who once made him their unwilling sex toy, but did they get a jump on the bumbling schmuck?

SUMMARY : March 1901, in a German port village, Laurin, aged twelve, hears the cry for help, at nightfall, of a little boy whom she sees, from her window, being kidnapped by an adult. During the same night, Flora, Laurin's mother, sees on a bridge the inert body of the little boy and the face of his assassin; we find her dead in the morning, her body lying at the bottom of the bridge. With the father of Laurin, a sailor, being often absent, the little girl, plagued by strange visions, is now entrusted to her grandmother. She soon befriends a classmate, Stefan, who in turn disappears. A killer of children prowls around, and Laurin's curiosity puts her in great danger ...
ABOUT THE FILM :For his first feature film, Robert Sigl produced a true masterpiece, a fantastic tale whose atmosphere evokes the stories of Perrault or the Grimm brothers. Benefiting from a sublime photograph, Laurin summons through his images certain great masters of painting, from John Constable to Caspar Friedrich, via Brueghel. Without resorting to special effects, the director favors the atmosphere and the mystery, with this nature seeming to conceal dangers and secrets, and this village under the influence of traditions and religion. Thirty years after its release, Laurin remains a unique, timeless and wonderful work.
